Burdock
(Arctium lappa) - 100 caps
This herb has traditionally been used as a diuretic and alterative. Alterative herbs influence the skin, kidneys, and mucous membranes, to remove accumulated waste products. It has also been found to have demulcent (soothing) properties, hence its frequent usage for itchy skin.
Part of the action of this herb is through the bitter stimulation of the digestive juices and especially of bile secretion. Thus it will aid digestion and appetite. For small dermatitis applications, open capsules and combine equal parts of Burdock & Rose Hips into a paste in a carrier such as olive oil or sorbolene cream and apply topically at night.
Therapeutic Use
A traditional European herbal blood tonic which may be of assistance in the relief of dry flaky skin conditions.
Active Ingredients
Each ‘preservative free’ capsule contains 410mg of Arctium lappa root powder.
Dosage
For adults: take three to four capsules with a meal three times daily.
