Protein Digestive Aid - 200 tabs
The body does manufacture its own protein digesting enzymes, but we also need to obtain them from food. It is suggested that as we age the body’s ability to produce enzymes decrease. Symptoms of inability to digest protein include feeling bloated and bad breath due to poorly digested protein.
Protein digestive aid contains Betaine Hydrochloride to supplement natural digestive hydrochloric acid production and the enzyme pepsin to assist protein digestion.
Therapeutic Use
Each tablet contains 325mg of betaine hydrochloride, supplying dilute hydrochloric acid to supplement normal body secretion, and 65mg of pepsin (Activity 0.5Ph. Eur. U./mg), a natural protein digesting enzyme. This may assist in digestion and ease bad breath associated with indigestion.
Active Ingredients
Each ‘preservative free’ tablet contains powder of:
Betaine hydrochloride 325mg
Pepsin (from porcine) 65mg
Dosage
For adults: take one to four tablets fifteen minutes before each meal daily.
Caution
Always read the label. If symptoms persist seek medical advice. Take each dose with a glass of water. Do not lie down during the 15-20 minutes period following each dose. Contains lactose. |
