René Caisse Authentic Sheep Sorrel Formula®
Genuine Canadian Indian Herbal Tea
Due to the varying quality of other products that were available and some rather high prices being asked, we finally decided to source the correct ingredients and produce our own product here in Australia.
It is now twice the size and half the price of the previous product that we were importing from Canada, as well as being manufactured to a much higher standard.
NB: Turkish Rhubarb or Common Sorrel was NEVER used by René and is NOT used in this authentic formulation.
Four ingredients are all René ever used and this formulation has been taken directly from a video about René Caisse, showing the ingredients that she used in her wonderful herbal infusion.
To give you an idea, there are over 70 types of Elm, 16 varieties of Rhubarb and many varieties of Sorrel. Some of these herbs are very rare and extremely expensive, which explains why they are so often supplemented with lesser varieties, and some can be harmful if taken in excessive quantities.
Our Sheep Sorrel Formula is:
-
*Certified (B.F.A) 'A' Grade Organic
-
Free of pesticides, preservative, lactose, gluten or fillers
-
Export quality
-
Packaged to both ISO 9001 and AQIS International Standards (Certification No:116/94)
-
Herbs backed by Herbal Analysis Certificates
*Certified depending on seasonal availability of certified herbs, ingredients are either fully certified or "wildcrafted" - grown without chemicals, but not yet certified.
So, what makes our product the best in the world?
The following list is all that René ever used in her formula, regardless of what some people may try and tell you!
Our René Caisse Authentic Sheep Sorrel Formula contains only:
-
Burdock Root (arctium lappa)
-
Sheep Sorrel (rumex acetosella)
-
Slippery Elm Bark (ulmus fulva)
-
Indian Rhubarb Root (rheum officinale)
Each 53g pack will yield approx. 2.8 litres of tea once made up. It must be kept refrigerated, and as it does not contain ANY other ingredients or stabilisers, will not keep longer than about a week, once brewed.
As a guide, a 10 pack will be enough for
approx. 2 - 2.5 months when
using the larger amounts.
Full brewing instructions are on each pack.
NB: once prepared and refrigerated, this product will keep no longer than fresh milk, as there are absolutely no additives or preservatives.
Beware of any product using supplemented herbs!
