Baby Animals - baby animals are born with a sterile gut, which is rapidly colonised by both beneficial and pathogenic bacteria. The ratio between these populations is very finely balanced and is easily disrupted, leading to problems such as scouring and ill thrift.
Feeding Rufus & Coco Inner Balance from birth ensures the establishment of gut microflora with a positive balance of beneficial bacteria. This helps prevent colonisation of the gut by pathogens such as E.coli and Salmonella (bad bacteria). Improved gut function means greater digestive efficiency, better utilisation of food and an easier transition from milk to solid food.

Mix the powder well into your pet’s water, milk, milk replacer or moist food and make sure it’s all eaten up.

Active Ingredients
Each gram contains 180 Million CFU as: Lactobacillus acidophilus; L.delbrueckii subspecies bulgaricus; L. plantarum; L. rhamnosus; Bifidobacterium bifidum; Enterococcus faecium; Streptococcus salivarius subspecies thermophilus.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is isolated from milk, cheese, other dairy products and human intestines. It is widely used as a probiotic.
Lactobacillus delbrueckii subspecies. bulgaricus & Streptococcus thermophilus is isolated from milk, cheese and starter cultures. These yoghurt starters have been associated with all the health claims made for yoghurt. Have been shown to protect against E.coli and Salmonella infections.
Lactobacillus plantarum is isolated from dairy products, fermenting plants, silage, pickled vegetables & fermented carbohydrates. It is also present in saliva (from which it was first isolated).
Lactobacillus plantarum is a *Gram-positive bacteria that produces lactic acid bacteria which are widely used in the dairy industry for the manufacture of cheese and yoghurt. Certain **lactic acid bacteria, are believed to have a positive influence on the health of the consumer.
Those probiotic strains are still viable during passage through the gastro-intestinal tract. In the intestine the presence or activity of the strain can provide possible benefits.

Enterococcus faecium is isolated from animal and human intestines. Widely used as a Probiotic.
