Sage (salvia officinalis)- 100 caps
The oils and tannins in sage have astringent, antiseptic and irritant properties. It is therefore an important herb in medications for mouth sores, mouth ulcers, and sore throat medications.
Sage is reported to have mouth-drying properties, so is therefore useful for both reducing excess perspiration or salivation, menopausal hot flushes and drying up breast milk. It can also be used as a compress on cuts and wounds.
Therapeutic Use
A herb traditionally used for the relief of excessive sweating and perspiration. May also be used as a gargle (when prepared as directed) for the relief of mouth ulcers and minor throat irritations.
